Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Book Edition
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire introduction
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is a fantasy novel written by British author J. K. Rowling and the fourth novel in the Harry Potter series, published in 2000. It follows Harry Potter, a wizard in his fourth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and the mystery surrounding the entry of Harry’s name into the Triwizard Tournament, in which he is forced to compete.
This book is seen by many fans as the beginning of darker times in the wizarding world, as it shows the return of Voldemort. The book was published in the United Kingdom by Bloomsbury and in the United States by Scholastic. In both countries, this was the first time a book in the series was published in both countries at the same time.
The boy is now in the fourth year of a school of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Harry will have to fight against his rival of all time: Lord Voldemort, who killed his parents when he was still very young. Flanked by his two inseparable friends Ron and Hermione, he will find himself on the threshold of adolescence and therefore will have to deal with the first heart problems that will also overwhelm Ron and Hermione.
The Lord Voldemort return

This year our protagonist will find himself involved in a bigger deal than him, in fact he will be the fourth of the three magicians who will have to compete for the victory of the Triwizard tournament, a great competition between the three schools of magic that was not held for more than a hundred years for its danger. During the difficult tests it had happened that some wizards died, but it had never happened that the Goblet of Fire, which establishes the names of competing wizards, extracted a fourth name from its interior.
Also in this novel, as in the previous ones, Rowling does not betray the basic characteristics of the magical world she created and the recurring characters that crowd it. On the other hand, continue the growth of everyone, hitting the trio of protagonists with greater force, which begins to be prey to the emotional instability typical of adolescence.
The author, in addition to introducing new characters, also offers more space to relationships between those already known, making them less linear and more conflictual. Harry hesitates to reveal that sometimes the scar on his forehead lights up with sudden pains as he begins to worry about the opinion of others.
Ron begins to feel envious of his friend who is so brilliant and always at the center of attention, while becoming increasingly impatient with the difficult economic conditions of his family. Hermione as a child begins to transform into a woman, resentful of her because her long-time friends don’t treat her as such and (for example) don’t invite her to the Yule Ball except as a last resort.

Therefore, if on the one hand the author explores the concept that growing up both individual personalities and relationships with others become more complex, one of the most certainly central messages in the book is the collaborative component and its importance in solving problems.
Unlike what will happen in the following book, “The Order of the Phoenix”, in “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” it is in fact absolutely clear that the protagonist is not capable of doing everything alone nor is he always kissed by luck. So many episodes will turn out to be the result of Moody’s machinations, and in any case it is likely that Harry would not have passed any of the tests had it not been for the help of others.
And as much as Harry manages to get through the maze without too much outside interference, it is clear that he would not be able to save himself during the fight with Voldemort if he were not protected by the sacrifice of his parents. Here the return of Voldemort becomes central to the plot, as the story begins to take a different turn from how it was told before.
From here begins the true story of the saga and consequently the following books will be based mainly on the actions and machinations of Voldemort and in any case to stop the evil antagonist. Voldemort will therefore be able to take his revenge to rally his evil forces that will bring the entire plot of the book and the final act of the saga.

Final report
The fourth book of the saga is certainly that book that pushed me to enter the world of Harry Potter, if the previous books serve as a side dish in my opinion, here we go directly into the main course. This book makes the saga change direction, taking a path that can no longer go back and will therefore continue in that way, directing the reader to the epic ending of the saga. Surely the darker tones are used precisely to introduce the return of the antagonist, hitherto always mentioned but never seen in full until this book, certainly an original appearance by the author, where in general the antagonist you see it entirely in at least the first book, here instead we had to wait for the fourth book to admire Voldemort in his true form of evil entity.
